Related to an issue in the Google’s Android mobile operating system.

The system is either disabling or changing options in relation to the Incoming Call Channel notifications.

The option has been either completely turned OFF or it has a lower priority.

This results in cases, where users affected by this change will have missing Incoming call screen, or do not receive any audible / visual notification of an Incoming call (to Zoiper) at all.

Here’s how to fix it:

• Google Pixel devices (Android version 9, 10)

Go to the device’s Settings > Apps & notifications option > locate Zoiper app. You might have to tap the > See all from last 7 days if you cannot locate it above.

Make sure that Show notifications option is turned ON.

Make sure that Incoming call channel option is also turned ON.

• Android 9 specific

Under Incoming call channel there is a Behavior option that should be set to Make sound and pop on screen.

• Android 10 specific

Under Incoming call channel make sure that Alerting is selected and Pop on screen option is turned ON.

• Samsung devices (Android 9)

Go to device’s Settings > Apps > locate Zoiper app. > Notifications.

Make sure that Show notifications is turned ON. And Incoming call channel is also enabled.

Under Incoming call channel there is also Notification style that should be set to Sound and pop-up.

• Xiaomi (MiUI 10.2.3 with Android 8/9)

Go to device’s Settings > Notifications & status bar > App notifications and find Zoiper.

Tap on Incoming call channel and make sure that Show notifications option is turned ON.

Floating notifications should also be enabled so you get heads up notification when you are using another app but there’s an incoming call for Zoiper.

• Huawei (EMUI 9.1.0 with Android 9)

Go to device’s Settings > Notifications > find Zoiper.

Make sure that Allow notifications is turned ON.

Make sure that under Incoming call channel the Allow notifications option is also turned ON. Banners as well.
